About

My work is subtle, raw and comes about in dialogue with the audience. I try to catch the intimate, the things we can’t put into words, what is hidden behind the obvious. I am looking for the poetic playfulness of movement, light, sound and space, letting my body relate to them. Subtle things that, in symbiosis, form a new grandness and beauty. It emerges within the moment and can only come into existence with the other. In times of ecological distress, individualism and division, it’s a gentle invitation to reach out and coalesce.

I am an interdisciplinary maker and performer who grew up in Germany. In 2012, I moved to The Netherlands to study at the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam (AHK), from which I graduated in 2019. During my studies, I learned to work with many different people, old and young, with or without performing experience. After my graduation I moved to Groningen, where I got supported by Station Noord – a platform for young makers to develop their work.

During that time and in close collaboration with my creative producer Jaukje van Wonderen, I established the foundation De Ruimtemakers and my collective Club Wauw together with Hannegijs Jonker, with the support of Het Houten Huis, Club Guy and Roni and De Noorderlingen. With Club Wauw, I make performances for a very young audience. Alongside this, I create my own work for an older audience. This work can be found here.

During the last years I shifted my focus towards using my voice as a form of expression, letting it wander through self-produced musical landscapes.

My work has been supported by a two-year grant of the Gemeente Groningen.

Everyone, everywhere, all at once

Time is running in despair, all at once

Take my hand and care for me
